Open since 2014, our Bagamoyo Restaurant is currently well known as Palma's main meeting point. During these years, our food, an international mix of flavors with mediterranean, mozambican and swahili influences, has gained the favor of all visitors coming to Palma. Our menu is mainly based on the catch of the day by the local fishermen from Mocimboa da Praia to the Rovuma river, passing through Palma and the clear waters of the Quirimbas archipelago. Lobsters, prawns, crabs, calamari, octopus and a great variety of open sea fish like tuna, king fish or marlin among others- are frequent visitors of our kitchen. The best South African meat also fresh vegetables and fruits supplied by local farmers from Cabo Delgado and Tanzania also are a part of our permanent stock in our industrial freezer and cold room (also unique in Palma).
Every procedure in our kitchen follows strict Health & Safety controls under the permanent supervision of professional staff experienced in HPCC. No other kitchen in Palma has the modern equipment and facilities of Palma Residences.
Since the hotel opening 3 years ago.the restaurant is run under a concession by Caril de Camarão Lda. Our Swahili chef, Kulthum Kivia, manages a team of 10 well trained cooks and assistants all originally from Palma and the Mocimboa districts who are continuously willing to improving their performance and service levels.
Bagamoyo Restaurant offers a well supplied buffet breakfast -all breads and pastries are homemade-, a daily lunch menu served with dessert and a buffet dinner where the very best fresh seafood is always present under different recipes. Our dinner buffet is already a matter of frequent conversations among all those who visit Palma often... and of course one more reason to visit Palma Residences.
